What a confidence boost

Update:
I have returned from my trip. I had a great time! n_n I will try to get too as many messages as I can but do not disown me if I cannot respond to everything.;3

Have not posted much in awhile so here is something...n_n

After feeling down about my artwork, I had a meeting today to show my portfolio at the school I want to go too. I like my work but there is a undertone of doubt in myself. Well, I guess I could be a little anxious when I am meating the dean of the program I want to be apart of and he has worked with several game companies, his latest EA where he was apart of creating dead space(great creepy game). Well....He liked my portfolio! He said I had talent and could see potential. He was very inspirational. And will teach many things I need to succeed. Main thing is:Confidence and passion.

I you enjoy what you do keep at it. It is something you always hear but hard to follow: there is always room for improvement and to learn more. Listen to critique but don't listen to those who just make you feel bad cause they are jealouse or just are very open about things that arn't their style. Don't try to change what you do to make one person happy. Everyone is defferent. It is something I still struggle with myself but am working on. If you make one person happy(even yourself), that is great. I Thank all of you that have supported me and keep me going.

Come January, I will be studying to be a game designer. I am happy and I feel I can make it. In 4 years start looking for my name in those credits. I wish everyone the best now and for things to come.

Yaaaay! <3 Good job, Micaela. I'm proud of you-- you work so gosh darn hard, and your efforts pay off, ne? :3 If my artistic path leads me to gaming design as well, I hope we can meet >:3 I'm still deciding whether or not that's what I really want to be though. XD [Tell me if they make you take lots of math classes, yeah? Haha.]

Til then, I float around in general ed picking out what I want out of college. -o- Lol!

Yeah. I say learn all you can, it all helps. Plus you can aquire many cool skill(I wanna take a financial class, and possibly a pattern making class down the line)It actually looks like alot of art classes. The dude is cool. He is getting intern connections for his students. I feel really excited. Maybe we will be team mates one day. He says his speacialty is water. Making water puddles, rain on buildings, ect look realistic. He says he went the realitic rout but Nintendo and cartoons is stable(cause I told him I like nintendo) and the wii is the number one system.

Ohhh!! o-o I remember in my Digital Art class I had a tutorial that my teacher learned from some dude who learned how to make water on photoshop really well... Maybe its the same person? Lol. I dont remember how to do it tho, makes me sad panda. Pattern making would be fun-- I like making patterns XD
