Another of the deku! This time I was in the gettup...my brother fell asleep. Well doing what dekus do best. being cute, sitting in the bush waiting for someone to come by and disturb us. :3
This is absolutely amazing. Also, I'm going to be exceedingly annoying (because I want to make a Deku Link costume) and ask how you made the head. I've seen others but this is by far the best. You're very talented!
The head is paper mache. I made it over a giant bounce ball. Once the mache dried I popped the ball and was left with a hard spherical shell. That gets the good base that you can cut into and such. (Shhh, dont tell, but I am thinking of a deku Link too. Might be coming to you sometime to bounce ideas off of)
Thanks for the kind words. Always makes me happy to hear.
Thank you so much! The hardest part for me is getting started sometimes and I've seen plenty of Deku Links/Scrubs that weren't close enough to the game models for me but then, luckily, I found yours. I'm just amazed you made something so wonderfully without losing an arm or a leg for it.
I'm pretty excited about this costume: I'll be Deku Link and I have a friend going as the Happy Mask Salesman.
Now as I stop myself from ranting I'll ask you a question and hope you don't find me overly obnoxious. I'm kind of worried about painting the head; yours went seamlessly from the darker colors to the lighter just like the game without so much as an issue. What technique did you use?
